Pain Button Worksheet
In Ray Dailo's book Principles: Life and Work he share a number of tools his firm uses to maximize the efficiency of the culture. Some of these tools are too extreme for running a household but the idea of the Pain Button tool should be explored. I created this worksheet to help identify the painful situations and feelings that arise and to dig deeper into using reflection to understand what brought about that pain. As Ray often says, "Pain + Reflection = Progress". The best way to learn is to reflect on what you did or didn't do so you don't continue to have that pain.
You also have to realize that if you're in DENIAL of any pain you might be dealing with then you wont be learning from your pain you'll end up blowing up somewhere a long the way. So, this worksheet is to help you or your family members uncover and reveal the uncomfortable issues to progress out of those pain points and into a great sense of harmony.
